Sri Lankan Customer Visits Double100 to Explore PRO UV/IR Coating and Photo Album Production Materials
Double100 recently welcomed a long-term customer from Sri Lanka to visit our machinery factory and materials production facility. After knowing each other for some time and staying in frequent contact since last year, we were pleased to welcome the customer in person and introduce our latest equipment and photo album production materials.
The customer already owns an earlier-generation Double100 UV coating machine. This visit provided an opportunity to explore our new PRO UV/IR coating machine, learn more about PVC board inserts for layflat photo albums, and see how our equipment and materials support different stages of album manufacturing.
Exploring the PRO UV/IR Coating Machine
The main focus of the coating equipment visit was our new PRO model, which supports both UV and IR processing. These two functions offer different processing options for print finishing, allowing businesses to consider the configuration that best matches their materials and production requirements.
During the visit, the customer viewed the PRO UV/IR coating machine and learned more about its capabilities. Having experience with an earlier-generation UV coating machine, the customer could explore the newer model and its combined UV and IR functionality in the context of existing print finishing operations.
For print service providers and photo album manufacturers evaluating a UV coating machine or an IR coating solution, understanding the available processing options is an important part of choosing equipment for their production workflow.
Hands-On Experience with the SU3000 Photo Album Making Machine
In addition to the coating equipment, the customer had the opportunity to experience the SU3000 photo album making machine. The customer showed strong interest in the machine during the visit, making it another important part of the factory tour.
For photo labs, photography studios, and album manufacturers looking for a photo album making machine, practical operation and workflow are important considerations. A machine should fit the types of albums being produced, the materials being used, and the production process of the business.
The SU3000 demonstration allowed the customer to gain a closer understanding of the equipment beyond product specifications and photographs. The visit also included examining a photo album core, helping connect the machine with the materials and intermediate products used in album manufacturing.
Inspecting PVC Board and Greyboard at Our Materials Factory
The visit continued at Double100’s materials production facility, where the customer explored PVC boards in different thicknesses for layflat photo album production.
After comparing the available options, the customer identified the 0.3 mm non-adhesive PVC board as the material they were looking for. The customer was pleased with the sample and confirmed that this was the type of PVC board needed for their album production. This hands-on inspection provided an opportunity to check the material directly and identify a suitable option for their requirements.
PVC board is used as an insert material in layflat photo album pages, making thickness and material suitability important considerations when selecting photo album consumables. For manufacturers looking for 0.3 mm PVC board for photo album inserts, choosing the right material helps ensure it matches their intended album structure and production process.
Our materials factory also produces greyboard for hardcover photo album and book case making. During the visit, the customer examined the greyboard and its layered structure, then inspected a finished hardcover case made from this material. Seeing both the raw material and the finished case provided a clearer understanding of how greyboard is used to create the rigid structure of a hardcover cover before wrapping.
For photo album manufacturers and hardcover book producers, selecting suitable greyboard is an important step in hardcover case production. Double100 provides access to both photo album production materials and related manufacturing equipment, helping customers explore the materials needed for their production processes.
Connecting Machinery, Materials, and Production Needs
This visit brought together several important areas of photo album manufacturing: UV coating equipment, photo album making machinery, PVC board inserts, and greyboard for hardcover case production. By welcoming customers to both our machinery factory and materials facility, Double100 provides opportunities to explore equipment and consumables in the context of real manufacturing processes.
For photo album manufacturers, photography studios, print service providers, and businesses planning to expand their production capabilities, selecting compatible machinery and materials is an important step toward building a practical production workflow.
